Timo Vesala

Timo Vesala is an experienced economist currently serving as Chief Economist at Kuntarahoitus Oyj - Municipality Finance Plc since June 2019. Previously, Timo held the position of Chief Economist at Savings Banks' Union Coop from August 2017 to June 2019, and worked at LocalTapiola Asset Management from December 2010 to July 2017 as both Economist & Portfolio Manager and Economist, managing multiple investment funds and specializing in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting for the Finnish economy and emerging markets. Earlier positions include Strategist at Danske Markets Equities and Economist at Tapiola Asset Management Ltd, along with research work at the University of Helsinki. Timo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Helsinki and has also studied as a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Chicago.
