Jaana Junttila

Jaana Junttila has extensive experience in nursing and healthcare, currently serving as Head Nurse, Researcher, and Doctoral Researcher at Kuopio University Hospital since April 2008, focusing on the impact of nursing workload on patient safety. Prior roles include teaching surgical care and nursing courses at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, conducting research at University Hospital of Kuopio, and holding positions as Head Nurse and Researcher for the City of Kuopio. Jaana's career also includes roles as Project Manager at Doctorex Oy and Development Engineer at GE Healthcare, as well as a long tenure as Registered Nurse and Head Nurse at Turku University Hospital. Jaana began military service in the Finnish Air Force and pursued advanced education, earning a Master's degree in Social and Health Care Information Management from the University of Eastern Finland, a vocational teaching qualification from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and currently is a PhD student at the University of Tampere.
