Lia Wong

Lia Wong is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as a Program Coordinator for the HYCC Summer program at Kupu since February 2024. Previously, Lia held the position of Education and Outreach Associate at UH Lyon Arboretum in 2023 and participated in the Kupu ‘Āina Corps in 2022. In 2020, Lia contributed to the field as an Oyster Bioremediation Researcher at Malama Maunalua, focusing on the Hawaiian Oyster and Pacific Oyster for bioremediation efforts. Lia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Ocean Sciences from the University of San Diego in 2022 and a High School Diploma from Punahou School in 2018, following earlier education at Hanahau’oli School.
