Head of Innnovation Processes at Kura Biotech

Marisol Andrea Morales Soto has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of innovation, technology transfer, and intellectual property management.

Marisol Andrea currently holds the position of Head of Innovation Processes at Kura Biotech, a role they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Innovation and Intellectual Property Manager at the same company from March 2021 to January 2022.

From May 2020 to November 2020, Marisol worked as a Program Leader and Transfer Leader at Cetaqua - Water Technology Centre. During their time at Universidad del Desarrollo, Marisol also served as a teacher for the "From Science to Innovation" course in the Doctorate of Sciences and Innovation in Medicine program from July 2016 to June 2019. Moreover, they worked as a Project Management Coordinator at iCono UDD, where they coordinated research and development projects, facilitated technology commercialization processes, and provided training in intellectual property, technology transfer, and innovation management from January 2014 to December 2017.

Earlier in their career, Marisol worked as an Associate Researcher on a biomedicine R&D project at Fundación Ciencia y Vida from January 2013 to December 2013. Marisol Andrea also held the position of Project Engineer at CREATECH from January 2013 to December 2013.

Marisol's work experience began in 2008 as a Doctoral Researcher in the Biotechnology Doctoral Program at Universidad Andrés Bello. During this time, they collaborated on a project focused on modulating the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) using small molecules in collaboration with the University of San Francisco, California.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Marisol continued their education at Universidad Andres Bello from 2006 to 2013. Marisol Andrea pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of study known as "Biotecnología" and successfully obtained their doctoral degree.
