Amitava Mitra

Amitava Mitra, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical pharmacology and biopharmaceutics. Amitava is currently serving as the Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Kura Oncology, Inc. Prior to this, they were the Scientific Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Amitava has also worked as a Task Force Member for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and in clinical development roles at Novartis (Sandoz Division). Earlier in their career, they held positions at Merck as a Principal Scientist, Research Fellow, and Sr. Research Pharmacist in the field of biopharmaceutics. Amitava started their career as a Summer Intern at AstraZeneca.

Amitava Mitra earned their PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore in the period of 2002 to 2006.
