Jovylyn Gatchalian

Jovylyn Gatchalian Gasendo is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in pharmacology and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at Kura Oncology, Inc. since May 2022, Jovylyn has previously worked as a Scientist I at Ferring Pharmaceuticals and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where significant research focused on the ncBAF complex and its regulatory functions in transcriptional networks. Jovylyn's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a B.S. in Biochemistry/Chemistry from UC San Diego. Throughout Jovylyn's career, a consistent emphasis has been placed on the molecular characterization of protein interactions and their implications in disease progressions.
