Deena Ferdous

Deena Ferdous, Ph.D. has a solid background in chemical engineering. Deena is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Kuraray America, Inc. Prior to their current position, they served as a Senior Process Engineer at Celanese from 2015 to 2022. Deena also held the role of Senior Research Engineer at Merichem Company from 2011 to 2015, where they led projects related to catalysts and surfactants. Before that, they worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Rentech from 2008 to 2011, focusing on Fischer-Tropsch catalysts. Earlier in their career, they served as a Process Engineer at Technip. Deena’s academic experience includes research associate roles at Purdue University and the University of Saskatchewan. Deena began their career as a Research Process Engineer at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). Overall, Deena has gained extensive experience in process engineering, research, and project management throughout their career.

Deena Ferdous, Ph.D. holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Deena also completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering as well as a Ph.D. in the same field from the University of Saskatchewan.
