Hugh Montgomery

Hugh Montgomery is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in advancement and fundraising. Currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Strategic Development at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children since September 2023, Montgomery previously held the position of Director of Development at The Putney School from October 2013 to December 2021, achieving significant growth in the school's endowment. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the Student Conservation Association, where Montgomery established a planned giving program that generated numerous legacy commitments, and the Planned Giving Group of New England as President. Montgomery's earlier tenure at The Putney School from 1987 to 1998 involved revitalizing the institution's fundraising efforts and building a professional development team. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College and multiple advanced degrees in Organization & Management and Leadership from Antioch University New England.
