Merinda Allam

Merinda Allam has extensive work experience in quality assurance and testing roles. Currently, they are working as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Lead at Kurtosys Cloud Solutions, where they are responsible for designing and implementing test strategies, plans, and quality matrices. Merinda also leads a team and conducts performance reviews and mentoring. Prior to their current role, Merinda worked at Inspired Testing as a Software Quality Engineer, where they participated in QA activities and utilized advanced QA techniques and tools. Merinda also worked as a Senior QA Test Analyst at Jurumani Solutions and was responsible for analyzing and testing new development requests and system integrations. Merinda has also held roles at Perago, Cardinal Insurance Management Systems, SPSI Information Technologies, OUTsurance, ELLIOT INTERNATIONAL REMOVAL COMPANY, Easy Beat Panelbeaters, and MEMBERS IN CHRIST CHURCH, performing various quality testing, analysis, and administrative tasks.

Merinda Allam has a diverse education history in various fields. In 1998, they completed high school at Hugenote High School. In 2002, they obtained a certificate in Pastel 5 from Pretrek - Pretorius Accounting and Computer Services, as well as a certificate in Computer Literacy from Unischool. Merinda furthered their education in the insurance industry by completing the Short Term Insurance and RE I Exam at OUTsurance Learning Centre from 2005 to 2010. In 2015, they attended the Lean/Agile Bootcamp at Kaizania Academies, an EOH Company.

Their focus then shifted to business analysis, completing the Business Analysis Fundamentals course at Udemy Academy in 2018 and the Business Analyses Fundamentals IQBBA course at Udemy Academy in 2019. Merinda also pursued a degree in Business System Analysis at GetSmarter in the same year.

Merinda Allam has expanded their knowledge in the field of software testing. In 2017, they obtained the ISTQB Foundation Level certification in QA Test Analyst from Impimpi Technologies. Merinda has also completed the Software Testing Foundations: Test Management course at LinkedIn Learning in 2022.

To enhance their expertise in agile methodologies, Merinda Allam completed the Agile Foundation certification at Kurtosys Academy in 2021 and the Agile Fundamentals and Advanced Agile Training at Mayhew Olivier in 2022. Merinda further gained proficiency in Azure Information Protection through the AIP Course at Kurtosys in 2020 and the Azure Information Protection - AIP program at Kurtosys Academy in 2021.

Merinda Allam has also pursued certifications in web accessibility. In 2022, they completed various courses at DEQUE UNIVERSITY, including Accessibility Fundamentals, Usability Testing for Accessibility, WCAG Conformance Testing, Detailed Methodology, and Web Accessibility Testing: Screen Readers.

Furthermore, they obtained the JMeter: Performance and Load Testing certification from LinkedIn in October 2022.
