Tomás Echavarría

Tomás Echavarría Bayter is an experienced Sr. ML Engineer at Kutai since February 2021, specializing in developing instance segmentation models and implementing APIs for AI model deployment. As an Entrepreneur at Datatrooper since November 2019, Tomás provides consulting in analytics and data science for SMEs and has developed an AI model for predicting aggression in children. Previous roles include Data Scientist at Trascender Global, where a composite AI model for currency prediction was created, and a research assistant at Universidad EAFIT, contributing to a COVID-19 data analytics project. Tomás has also led IoT projects at PIMEDICA S.A., conducted research at Universidad EIA on piezoelectric crystals, and completed an internship at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Tomás holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, awarded in 2017.
