Bill Kosik

Bill Kosik, PE, CEM, Legacy LEED AP has extensive work experience in the field of energy engineering and mechanical consulting. Bill is currently employed by kW Mission Critical Engineering as the Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they specialize in HVAC system energy use optimization and the development of liquid cooling analysis tools for data centers. Bill has also been involved in industry working groups with organizations such as The Green Grid, DOE, EPA, ASHRAE, and USGBC.

Prior to their current role, Bill worked as a Senior Energy Engineer at DNV, supporting the development of new technical market programs and providing subject matter expertise in energy efficiency implementation. Bill has also held positions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at exp Global Inc., a Principal Energy and Mechanical Consulting Engineer as an Independent Consultant, and the Director of Data Center Energy Efficiency Strategies at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Earlier in their career, Bill served as the Managing Principal at EYP Mission Critical Facilities, Inc., the President/Director of Engineering at OWP/P Consultants, a Project Engineer/Project Manager at WMA Consulting Engineers, and a Mechanical Engineer at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM).

Bill Kosik, PE, CEM, Legacy LEED AP received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1987. Bill further obtained additional certifications including Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) from ASHRAE in 2010, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2002, and became a Professional Engineer (PE) certified by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in 1992.
