Spencer Bray has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. They most recently worked at Kwara as the Head of Engineering, where they managed the internal re-rewrite of the company's core banking engine. Before that, they served as an Engineering Manager at Kwara, where they learned the company's architecture and team dynamics, conducted 1:1s, set up Individual Development Plans, and established an Engineering Round Table.
Spencer also worked at Finiata, starting as a Backend Developer and eventually becoming the Lead Backend Engineer. Spencer Bray completed their undergraduate education at the University of Washington from 2004 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their time at the university, they specialized in German and Philosophy as their fields of study. Spencer also had an opportunity to study abroad at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2006-2007, focusing on Neuere Deutsche Literatur.
