Joel Ibaceta

Joel Ibaceta has worked in various positions in the technology industry since 2008. Joel began their career as a Java Software Engineer at Arsac Contratistas Generales in 2008. In 2010, they moved on to Tekton Labs, where they worked as a Ruby Software Engineer. In 2012, they became a Senior Software Engineer in Finance at SendDinero. In 2013, they CoFounded and acted as Technical Lead at inClouds Group, leading and training technical teams in Python, Ruby and PHP. In 2015, they were a Scrum Master at Online Studio Productions. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at MercadoPago.com as a Technical Leader, responsible for building a new generation of developers' tools, supporting the main customers portfolio and working to improve the relationship with the developers community. Since 2020, they have been the Chief Technology Officer at Kwema.

Joel Ibaceta is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Education from Escuela de Postgrado de la Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. Joel previously obtained an Engineer degree in Computer Science from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in 2013. In 2021, they completed a Diploma in Gobernanza y Evolución de Internet from Universidad de Palermo, a Gerencia de Negocios Digitales & Innovación from San Ignacio Business School Miami, and a Gerencia de Producto from Universidad del Pacífico (PE). Joel has also obtained several certifications, including a Digital Marketing Professional Certificate from CertiProf in 2022, a Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP in 2022, an ITIL® 4 Foundation Certificate from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2021, a Management 3.0 from Management 3.0 in 2021, an EF SET English Certificate 71/100 (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test (EF SET) in 2020, a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in 2020, and an IEEE Professional Membership from IEEE.
