Usama Fayyad

Usama Fayyad is an accomplished expert in artificial intelligence and data strategy, currently serving as Senior Vice President for AI & Data Strategy and Senior Advisor to the President at the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University, as well as a Computer Science Professor at Northeastern University. Fayyad is also the Founder and Chairman of Open Insights, a data strategy consulting firm, and Co-Founder and Chairman of the Initiative for Analytics & Data Science Standards (IADSS). Other significant roles include serving on the Board of Directors at KX and being a Board Member at PostProcess Technologies. Fayyad has held various academic positions, including Adjunct Professor roles at the University of Technology Sydney and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With a strong educational background from the University of Michigan, where multiple degrees were earned, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, Fayyad has a rich history of transforming organizations through data-driven strategy and innovation.
