Senior Director Of Structural Biology at Kymera Therapeutics

Steven Kazmirski has a strong background in structural biology and biophysics. Steven is currently working as the Senior Director of Structural Biology at Kymera Therapeutics. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Molecular Mechanism at Atlas Ventures Newco, where they worked on elucidating the mechanism of action of a novel chemical compound for a rare genetic disease. Steven has also served as the Director of X-ray Crystallography at Blueprint Medicines and as the Director of Structural Biology and Biophysics at Fulcrum Therapeutics. Before their industry roles, Steven worked as an Associate Director of Structure & Biophysics at AstraZeneca and as a Principal Scientist at Pfizer Cambridge USA. Steven began their career as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California Berkeley, Rockefeller University, and the University of Cambridge. Steven has vast experience in managing teams, supporting drug discovery projects, and utilizing various techniques such as X-ray crystallography, NMR, SPR, and ITC.

Steven Kazmirski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Central Washington University in 1993. Steven then went on to complete a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Washington between 1993 and 1999. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Biopharmaceutical Leadership at Emmanuel College (Boston) from 2010 to 2012.
