Ziyan Zhao

Ziyan Zhao is a Senior Scientist at Kymera Therapeutics since August 2023, previously holding the same title at BAKX Therapeutics from May 2022 to July 2023, where Ziyan led biologist efforts for a late-stage oncology project focusing on cellular assays for small molecule characterization. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Investigator at Roivant Sciences from July 2018 to May 2022, managing multiple pipeline projects and advancing two to the hit finding stage. Earlier roles include Scientist at Roivant Sciences, where Ziyan established proof-of-concept for immuno-oncology targets, and a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut, contributing to T lymphocyte research. Ziyan began research at Beihang University as an Undergraduate Researcher, exploring immune response mechanisms in astronauts, and holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Beihang University.
