Sian Abel

Sian Abel serves as the SVP, Global HR Business Partner at Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. since October 2022, providing strategic direction and oversight for HR in Global Functions while being a part of the Global business leadership team. Previously, Sian held the role of SVP, Head of HR EMEA & RoW at Kyowa Kirin International plc., where responsibilities included setting and delivering HR strategy across the region from September 2019 to October 2022. Prior to this, Sian worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as Executive Director, International Human Resources, and Senior Director, Human Resources - International, overseeing HR leadership across international operations. Experience also includes various HR roles at Baxter International Inc., Stryker, and ITT Industries, starting with marketing duties at Lagap Pharmaceuticals. Sian holds a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management from Southampton Institute.
