Matiu R. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matiu is currently working at Layer One X (L1X), where they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Growth Officer from October 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Layer One X, Matiu worked as a Cryptocurrency Consultant/Investor, providing guidance and management for various blockchain projects focused on Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Matiu was involved in NFT launches, Ethereum staking on BSC, and fundraising activities, contributing to the successful raising of $10M. Matiu'srole in this consultancy lasted from January 2017 to January 2023.

From January 2018 to April 2020, Matiu served as the Director at Immersive Leader Pty Ltd, specializing in leadership and management training. Matiu'sresponsibilities included business planning, cost analysis, revenue projections, and strategy selection. Matiu achieved significant results, such as a 30% sales increase for 900 students through sales training and a 50% profit improvement over six months for 26 travel businesses in Australia and North America.

Matiu's earlier experience includes various roles at Flight Centre Travel Group, where they worked for fifteen years. Matiu served as a Retail Manager from October 2013 to November 2018, an Area Manager from July 2010 to October 2013, a Retail Manager from July 2007 to July 2010, an Assistant Manager from July 2005 to June 2007, and a Travel Consultant from March 2003 to June 2005.

From 1996 to 1999, Matiu R. attended Victoria University of Wellington, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree in the field of Marketing and Management.
