William Burt

VP, Military Services Division at L2 Defense

Mr. William Burt has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of Program Management, CBRN Training, Operations and Sustainment, Kitting, and Production. His work in both the military and government-contracting communities has been highlighted by his recent appointment as the Vice President of the Military Services Division at L2 Defense, Inc.

His current responsibilities include the execution and management of all programs related to the US Military. In addition, he is responsible for developing processes, to streamline execution activities, and assists with cost proposal writing and oversight of other management procedures within the company.

Prior to starting at L2 Defense, Mr. Burt was the Director of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) at FLIR, in Elkridge, MD, a division of FLIR, focused on providing Integrated Systems to the US Military, Department of Homeland Security, and Foreign Governments. He was primarily responsible for Operations and Sustainment, of fielded systems, for the U.S. Military, Federal Agencies, and Foreign Government customers. While at FLIR, Mr. Burt developed, established, and executed a highly functioning Operations and Sustainment department, that allowed for the systems being supported, to maintain an Operational Availability rate of 95%, all while growing the ILS Division to an average of 5+ million dollars a year.

Before his time at FLIR, Mr. Burt was a U.S. Marine, and continuously utilizes his military experience to provide real life perspectives to every program that he manages, while establishing a connection to the Warfighters and Government customers. Through his experience, Mr. Burt believes that living the L2 Core Value of “Culture, People and Relationships, before profit” leads to strong business relationships that transcend just the immediate opportunity, but create relationships for life.
