Shantel Carrero

Shantel Carrero currently serves as a Program Coordinator and Milieu Coordinator at La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, providing support to adolescents in a residential program since November 2021. Previously, Shantel worked as a Mentor at Appa Health, assisting adolescents in need of additional guidance from July 2022 to March 2024. Early career experience includes positions as an Optometric Technician at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, where assistance with customer service and pre-testing was provided, an Ammunition Specialist in the Army National Guard, responsible for inventory and allocation of ammunition, and a Sales Consultant at Best Buy, aiding customers in various departments. Shantel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.
