John Villalpando

John Villalpando is a Research Technician I at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, focusing on human immunity research related to SARS-CoV-2 and Chikungunya since April 2023. Previously, John served as a Biotechnician I at BioLegend, where responsibilities included preparing buffers and maintaining lab cleanliness. Experience also includes roles as a Resident Advisor at UC San Diego, fostering community engagement, and a Volunteer Research Assistant in the Rennison Lab, assisting with image analysis. John’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology, specializing in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution, obtained from UC San Diego in December 2022. Additional educational experiences include high school and community college coursework.
