Mike Barajas

Mike Barajas is an experienced professional in the field of laboratory management and operations, currently serving as Senior Manager at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since October 2014. Mike has held various roles within the La Jolla Institute, including Facility Manager for the Department of Laboratory Animal Care and Operations Coordinator. Prior to this, Mike worked at Salk Institute for Biological Studies from December 2003 to September 2014, advancing through positions from Technician I to Assistant Supervisor. Mike also served in the US Army as a Sergeant from January 1998 to March 2004 and gained additional experience as a Lab Technician at Salk Institute from August 2001 to December 2002. Educational credentials include completion of the Primary Leadership Development Course in 2001 and US Army Airborne training in 2000, along with a high school diploma from Chula Vista High School.
