Simon Brunel is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in immunology, cancer biology, and therapeutic development. Currently serving as an Instructor/Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology since July 2019, Simon conducts experiments with various cell lines and primary immune cells to develop assays for screening therapeutic molecules. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at INSERM, where Simon focused on exosome-based therapeutic development, and a significant tenure at Sorbonne University, culminating in a PhD in Immunology, where Simon investigated monoclonal antibodies for cancer immunotherapy. Simon also holds a Micro MBA from the Rady School of Management and a statistics certificate from UC San Diego. Additionally, Simon's diverse background includes internships and experiences in cancer research, neuropsychiatric disorder studies, and emergency medical services.
