Tina Castellanos, MPA, IBCLC, is a Maternal and Child Health Disparities Strategies Specialist at the Texas Department of State Health Services, focusing on identifying health disparities in a predominantly rural, medically underserved 28-county region. With extensive experience in maternal and child health, Tina has served as a leader with La Leche League International since 1999, facilitating support groups and participating in global committee efforts. A former co-owner of The MILC Group and owner of The Nurtured Center, Tina provided lactation consulting and education in San Antonio. Additionally, Tina has held roles such as Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at San Antonio and has been active in leadership positions within La Leche League USA, advocating for the needs of Texas Area Leaders. Academically, Tina holds a Master of Public Administration and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership, along with a certificate in Public Health focused on Maternal and Child Health.
