Rachel Schur

Rachel Schur, PE, currently serves as the Energy Resource Engineering Manager at La Plata Electric Association, a position held since October 2015, following a role as Staff Engineer within the same organization. Rachel's prior experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer at Bonneville Power Administration, where responsibilities involved the design of transmission lines for voltages ranging from 115kV to 500kV. Earlier roles included positions as a Transmission Mechanical Engineer in Training at HDR, Associate Production Engineer at Hach Company, and Mechanical Engineering Intern at Merrick & Company. Rachel began professional experience in engineering as an intern at La Plata Electric Coop, contributing to both electrical and IT tasks. A graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Rachel also attended Fort Lewis College from 2005 to 2008.
