Daniela Hamaui

Daniela Hamaui is an accomplished journalist and educator with extensive experience in the Italian media landscape. Currently serving as an editorialist for La Repubblica since May 2022, Daniela also holds a professorship at NABA - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano since March 2019. Previously, Daniela was the director of Vanity Fair from May 2017 to December 2018 and worked at GEDI Gruppo Editoriale from 1996 to 2015 as the editorial director for the periodicals of Repubblica, including D, the women's supplement of the newspaper. Notably, Daniela was the first woman to direct a news magazine in Italy while at l'Espresso. Daniela's academic background includes a degree in literature and philosophy from Università Statale di Milano and training at the Istituto Formazione al Giornalismo.
