Andrew Sargent has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 as a Green Coffee Trader for InterAmerican Coffee. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Consultant at EDE Consulting, where they conducted various assignments related to monitoring and evaluation and enterprise development. In 2010, they became the General Manager of HRNS North America, where they established the North American office for Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung. Andrew then joined Catholic Relief Services in 2016 as the Director of the Coffeelands Program and Technical Advisor for Value Chains, responsible for program strategy, financial management, and technical advisory on agricultural value chains. Currently, Andrew serves as the Director of Sourcing & Sustainability at La Tourangelle, leading sourcing activities and the development and execution of sustainability strategies.
Andrew Sargent has a strong educational background in law, diplomacy, and economics. Andrew pursued their Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, specializing in Development Economics, Agricultural Development, and International Business Relations. Andrew completed this degree between 2008 and 2010.
Prior to their postgraduate studies, Andrew obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from the University of Virginia. Andrew attended the university from 1996 to 2000.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Andrew has also obtained two certifications. In 2005, they became an Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Technician through the National Ski Patrol. Later, in 2011, they obtained the PMD Pro1 certification in Project Management for Development Professionals from Humentum.
