Rafael Jerez currently serves as Oficial de Asesoría Legal at Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa Privada, focusing on coordinating political dialogue regarding electoral reforms and providing legal advice on constitutional issues, human rights, and anti-corruption initiatives. Concurrently, Rafael works as a specialist researcher at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems, analyzing electoral reform recommendations from 2017-2021. Rafael has been a columnist for La Tribuna Honduras since July 2017 and served as a researcher for the Observatorio de Reformas Políticas de América Latina and Centro de Estudios para la Democracia. Previously, Rafael held the position of Electoral Reform Project Coordinator at the Association for a More Just Society and completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Latin America and International Law. Educational qualifications also include a law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras and participation in a public function strengthening program in Latin America.
