Chris Pakes

Chris Pakes is the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Graduate & Global Research at La Trobe University. Prior to this, they were the Chief Investigator and Program Manager at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computer Technology from January 2003 to December 2007. Chris was also a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne from November 2000 to January 2007. Before that, they were the Senior Research Scientist, Quantum Metrology Group at National Physical Laboratory (NPL) from January 1999 to December 2000.

Chris Pakes has a PhD in Physics from the University of Birmingham.

Chris Pakes reports to John Dewar, Vice-Chancellor. They are on a team with Susan Dodds - Deputy Vice-Chancellor & VP, Research & Industry Engagement, Nicolette Lee - Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, and Richard Speed - Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Global & Regional.
