Marja-Leena Simonen

Marja-Leena Simonen has extensive experience in occupational health, currently serving as an Occupational Health Physician at Lääkärikeskus Aava since March 2017. Previous roles include Occupational Healthcare Physician and Consultant in Travel Medicine at EMA Group Oy, and various positions at Diacor terveyspalvelut Oy, Pääkaupunkiseudun työterveys Ry, and Suomen Terveystalo Oy. Marja-Leena has also engaged in clinical research in obesity at the Obesity Research Unit in Helsinki and has held a special focus on rehabilitation at ORTON Rehabilitation. Marja-Leena's education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Turku and a Specialist degree in Occupational Health Service from the University of Helsinki, alongside additional training at prestigious institutions such as Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden and the Finnish Medical Association.
