Matt Dunie has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and information industry. Matt co-founded and served as President and CEO of LabArchives, overseeing strategic, product development, operational, and go-to-market aspects of the company until its acquisition in October 2021. Matt currently holds the role of Operating company President at LabArchives.
Prior to LabArchives, Dunie served as President of Data-Planet, a repository of statistical data distributed to academic and corporate libraries and government agencies. Matt also played a significant role in the management and co-founding of RefWorks, an online research management and collaboration tool, which was later acquired by ProQuest.
At ProQuest, Dunie held various executive positions, including President & CEO of CSA and Vice President & Executive Vice President of ProQuest. Matt was responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the business, contributing to its significant growth and the creation of a ~$360 million information services company.
Additionally, Dunie has served as a Board Member and Director at ThirdIron, a company focused on enhancing access to resources in libraries through next-generation technologies. Their product release, Browzine, has gained substantial customer uptake in academic and medical research libraries.
Matt Dunie attended the University of Maryland from 1981 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.
