Abby Johnson

Abby Johnson began their career at Science Applications International Corporation in 2004 as a Project Control Analyst, where they planned, analyzed, and reported costs and revenue for multiple projects and programs. Abby also created a Quality Business System process for HOLA/COLA allowances paid to overseas employees, as well as a SharePoint site for 90+ employees to coordinate benefits, file expense reports, book travel, close accounts, and withdraw funds. In 2014, Abby moved to LabCentral, where they held the roles of Senior Director of Accounting | Controller, Director Of Accounting | Controller, and Associate Director of Accounting | Controller. As the most senior employee of the finance organization, Abby was responsible for the completion and oversight of day-to-day finance and accounting operations of a $50M organization. Abby also managed a team of six and scaled accounting and purchasing operations to support company growth from $6M to $44M in annual revenues. Finally, Abby was an Accounting Manager, where they built Accounting and Purchasing departments for a growing non-profit start-up.

Abby Johnson attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in French. Abby then went on to Harvard Extension School from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Graduate Certificate in Accounting.
