Greg Szpak

Greg Szpak is a backend engineer at Labelbox. Prior to joining Labelbox, Greg worked as a big data engineer and data scientist at Growbots, where they developed and maintained the main ETL pipeline for Growbots' sales automation product. Greg also developed machine learning models for improving the quality of data, such as models for detecting a company's description or phone number on its website. In their previous role as a software engineer at DaftCode, Greg developed a real-time bidding platform able to process 100k reqs/sec with latency < 100 ms. Greg also built various machine learning models for predicting click-through rate in online advertising and implemented a bidder service using ML models and pricing strategies to return bid price for a given bid request.

Greg Szpak has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Warsaw, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the same school. Greg also has certifications from Coursera in Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark, and Functional Programming Principles in Scala.
