Lance Leonard has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Lance started their career in 2000, holding multiple titles such as Senior Developer, Technical Writer, Trainer, Product Manager, QA, and more, where they designed and created custom business database applications for different industries.

In 2005, Leonard joined Microsoft as a Programmer Writer, where they focused on creating developer content for Internet Explorer features, web platform APIs, and related services. Lance excelled in delivering outstanding content for multiple versions and releases of Internet Explorer.

After their tenure at Microsoft, Leonard worked as a Technical Writer (contract) at OpenCar in 2014, where they wrote developer documentation for an HTML5 JavaScript app publishing platform for integrated "infotainment" systems in automobiles. Lance improved existing materials while reducing content size.

From 2015 to 2016, Leonard served as a Technical Documentation Manager at UIEvolution, Inc., leading documentation projects to support middleware service platforms for automotive and hospitality partners. Lance created tutorials, samples, and reference pages for various audiences and identified ways to enhance documentation experiences.

In 2016, they worked as a Technical Writer (Contract) at Glympse, where they designed and created developer documentation for location sharing web services and related libraries. Lance documented REST API endpoints and created samples for multiple languages.

From 2017 to 2019, Leonard joined Microsoft again as a Senior Content Developer, creating technical content for a variety of audiences across multiple platforms and development languages. Lance primarily focused on Microsoft Graph API, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Azure services.

In 2019, they transitioned to Amazon as a Senior Technical Writer, where they designed, wrote, and maintained developer documentation focused on internationalization, localization, and globalization for internal Amazon developers. Lance also created tutorials, samples, and other materials across multiple platforms and development tools/languages.

From 2020 to 2023, Leonard worked at Redis as a Documentation Manager, responsible for creating and maintaining world-class documentation and technical content for Redis Enterprise. Lance'scontributions revolved around content, presentation, and discoverability for different audiences.

Currently, Leonard has joined Labelbox as the Head of Documentation in 2023. The details of this role are expected to be updated soon.
