Octavio Fernandes

Octavio Fernandes has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Octavio started their career as a Professor Adjunct at the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro in 1989 and held this position until 2008. In 1997, they joined the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation as a Senior Researcher and worked there until 2009. Octavio then moved to Diagnósticos da América DASA, where they served as the Chief Operating Officer (Vice President of Operations), MD, and PhD. During their time at DASA, they played a pivotal role in the acquisition and subsequent fusion of medical areas. Octavio joined Labi Exames in 2017 as Vice President of Operations.

Octavio Fernandes attended UERJ from 1980 to 1985, where they earned a degree in Medical Doctor. During their time at UERJ, their field of study included Patologia Clinica, Infectologia, and Medicina Tropical.
