Richard Bennett has a strong background in political campaigning, with a focus on the Labour Party. Richard started their career with the party in 2009 as a General Election Organiser. Richard then went on to hold various roles within the party, including Islington Borough Organiser, Regional Organiser, and Election Strategy and Campaigns Manager. In 2018, they became the Head of Elections and Campaign Support, a position they currently hold.

Richard Bennett attended Lancaster University from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History.
