Maya Elz Davis (Entrepreneur)

Maya "Elz" Davis (born June 11, 1988) is an American-born Sudanese-Hungarian omnologist, AI and computer scientist, entrepreneur, investor, venture capitalist, hedge fund manager, investment manager, private equity partner, business and technology executive, author, podcaster, fashion designer, sketch artist, music developer, and professional chef.

She is the co-creator of the Yuhmmy App, a pioneering social-taste super app, and co-founder of its parent company, Labs Companies, Inc. (known simply as Labs [formerly LavLabs Inc.]), a human-enhancement technology company based in Santa Monica, CA. Maya serves as Vice Chairwoman, President, Chief Ecosystem Officer, and is the second-largest controlling shareholder, driving strategic growth and ecosystem development.

Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Maryland, Maya began her career managing technological transformation projects across federal government agencies through her company, PowerBridge, later integrated into her asset management conglomerate, Maya Industries Group. Her expertise in private equity and debt funding began in her early teens, showcasing remarkable financial acumen.

In 2021, Maya co-founded MDFG Inc., a 50/50 multi-layer financial services holdings company, alongside her husband, Duránd F. Davis Jr. Together, they’ve built a financial institution focused on resilience, innovation, and equitable financial strategies.

Known creatively as "Elz" and "Chef Elz," Maya channels her artistry into product design, sketch art, and culinary excellence. Alongside her husband and their eight children, she advocates for fluid vegan diets and holistic wellness, championing sustainable health practices.

Maya is also a dedicated researcher and leader in AI, Large Models, and Omnology, focused on building new industry ecosystems and driving technological advancement. As Managing General Partner and CEO of her Family of Firms (FOF) — M&D Ventures, Elz Ventures, Davis&Davis Venture Partners, Madu Partners, and Labs Investor Group — she invests in global entrepreneurial talent to empower their innovations.
