Dr. De Silva is a graduate of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Faculty of Medicine. In 2003 Dr. De Silva completed Post-Graduate training in General Pathology at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, obtaining her Diploma in General Pathology.
Dr. De Silva worked at Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital and the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka. She completed her MD (Haematology) in 2006 through the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, Sri Lanka. She then moved to Australia where she completed her haematology training at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
Dr. De Silva is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
