David Whitman has had an extensive career in creative leadership, starting in 1992 as an Associate Creative Director at BBDO where they played a key role in setting brand communications for the Verizon account. David went on to work as an Associate Creative Director at Martin-Williams Advertising, where they led creative efforts for the agency's largest account, USBank. In 1996, they co-owned and operated a successful advertising agency called Barnhart/CMI, where they grew the firm and started digital and e-mail marketing practices. David then worked as a Creative Director at Kruskopf Olson and as an Associate Creative Director at Colle & McVoy Advertising. In 2001, they became the SVP and Creative Director at Gage, where they transformed the agency into a digital powerhouse and established user experience and content strategy capabilities. David later became the Managing Director of the Minneapolis office at Cultivator Advertising & Design, where they had full management responsibilities. Currently, they are the VP and Group Creative Director at The Lacek Group. Throughout their career, David Whitman has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in the creative field.

David Whitman pursued post-graduate studies from 1986 to 1990 at the University of Minnesota, focusing on Philosophy. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1982, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University.
