Liam Monaghan

Liam Monaghan has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Liam started their career as an Actuarial Assistant at Old Mutual in 2000 and went on to hold several positions within the company, including Product Designer, Business Development Manager, and Product Development Actuary. In 2008, they worked as a Consulting Actuary at MicroEnsure before joining Pacific Life in 2010. At Pacific Life, they served as a Product Designer, Assistant Vice President in Product Actuary and Product Analytics, and Head of Product Development at Pacific Asset Advisors Limited. In 2015, they founded and served as the Managing Director of Swell Investing LLC before joining Ladder Insurance in 2016. At Ladder Insurance, they held the position of VP, Actuarial before being promoted to Chief Actuary in March 2020.

Liam Monaghan has an extensive education history in Actuarial Science. Liam obtained a Bachelor of Business Science (Actuarial Science) from the University of Cape Town between 1996 and 1999. Liam also achieved the degree of Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) from the Institute of Actuaries in 2004, and later became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) through the Society of Actuaries in 2009.
