Aram Benyamin currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since November 2022. Prior to this role, Aram held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Colorado Springs Utilities from 2015 to November 2022, having also served as General Manager of Energy Supplies. Aram's extensive career at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spanned from 1980 to 2015, where roles included Senior Assistant General Manager - Head of Power System, Operating Agent for External Generation, and Field Engineer. Additionally, Aram was an instructor of Construction and Project Management at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2005 to 2015. Academically, Aram holds a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.
