Jason Rondou

Jason Rondou has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Assistant General Manager for Power Planning and Operations at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since August 2009. Previous roles at the department include Chief of Staff for Power, Director of Power Engineering, Director of Power System Planning, and Director of Clean Grid LA Strategy, among others. Jason oversaw the implementation of the Energy Imbalance Market and managed Distributed Energy Resource program groups. Prior to joining LADWP, Jason worked as an Electrical Engineer and Transportation Engineering Associate at LADOT from August 2003 to July 2009. Jason holds an MBA from UCLA, an MPA from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Loyola Marymount University.
