Kecia Washington is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in community investment, economic development, and business outreach, currently serving as Director of Community Investment at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since July 2013. Washington has held multiple key positions within LADWP, including Director of Innovation and Director of Economic Development, focusing on promoting access for small businesses to energy efficiency services. Prior to returning to LADWP, Washington served as Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Contractor Relations, implementing policies to improve business participation in City contracts, and as Managing Director at the Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Office of Economic and Business Policy.
