Jose Antonio Primo

CEO at LafargeHolcim Maroc

Jose Antonio Primo has been LafargeHolcim's CEO in Maroc since August 2020.

Jose started their career with Lafarge in 2003, where they served as Director of Organization and Human Resources. In 2006, they were promoted to Director of Lafarge Ciments, and in 2009, they became Lafarge's Director General.

In 2012, Primo was recruited by Lafarge North America to serve as their US Cement General Manager. Jose held this position until 2013 when they were promoted to LafargeHolcim's Head of CCUS Projects in Europe.

In 2015, Primo returned to Lafarge as their Senior Vice President of Industrial Performance Excellence. Jose held this position until 2017 when they were transferred to LafargeHolcim Europe as their Head of Cement Industrial Performance.

In 2018, Primo was appointed CEO of LafargeHolcim Central Europe East, a position they held until 2020 when they were appointed CEO of LafargeHolcim Maroc.

Jose Antonio Primo has a PDD from IESE Business School - University of Navarra, a Master in Gestión Estratégica Recursos Humanos from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a Licenciado in Ciencias Quimicas from Universidad de Alcalá.

Some direct reports include Alae Lalami - Director, Constructive Solutions, Brahim Ez-Zerrouqi - Industrial Director, and Abdel-Ileh Chouar - Director, Sustainable Development & Innovation.
