Amanda Drew is a seasoned professional in emergency management and public safety, currently serving as a Sheriff’s Deputy for Lafayette County since July 2020 while also volunteering as a firefighter with the Lafayette County Fire Department. Previous roles include Emergency Management Coordinator at the University of Mississippi and Applicant Program Services Specialist (Reservist) with FEMA. Amanda has extensive experience in fire services, having worked with multiple fire departments, including Rutland Fire Department and Paxton Fire Department. Amanda holds a Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on Emergency Management and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, both from Anna Maria College. Additionally, experience as a security officer with General Dynamics and internships in the probation department further highlight Amanda's commitment to public safety and community service.

Lafayette County Fire Department
The Lafayette County Fire Department is an all-hazards combination fire department that provides emergency services to the unincorporated areas of Lafayette County, as well as, the municipalities of Taylor and Abbeville. Currently, the department operates 15 fire stations, two of which are manned with part-time staffs, and 42 pieces of rolling equipment.
