Wesley Anderson, MPA, EFO has a diverse work experience in the field of fire and emergency services. Wesley started their career in 2005 as a Dispatcher at the Oxford Police Department and later joined the Lafayette County, Mississippi as Deputy Chief in 2004. In 2007, they also became a Lieutenant at the Oxford Fire Department. Wesley served as the Fire Chief for Lafayette County from August 2015 onwards. In 2014, they began working as an Adjunct Instructor at Northwest Mississippi Community College and also contributed to Box Alarm Training as a Contributor from January 2014 to January 2016.

Wesley Anderson, MPA, EFO has a diverse education history. In 2008, they obtained NFPA 1001 I-II certification from the Mississippi State Fire Academy. In 2009, they received NFPA 1002 certification from the same institution. Wesley then obtained several certifications from the Mississippi State Fire Academy between 2011 and 2014, including NFPA 472 Technician I, Rope Rescue Technician I, Confined Space Rescue Technician, and NFPA 1041 I. In 2012, they pursued Fire Services Administration and Fire Prevention Technology at The University of Memphis, where they earned a Bachelor's of Professional Studies. Wesley continued their education at Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce in 2013 and completed the Leadership Lafayette degree. Wesley Anderson then pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Arkansas State University from 2016 to 2017. Throughout their educational journey, they also obtained further certifications such as NFPA 1021 I-II from the Mississippi State Fire Academy and Fire Inspection Principles from FEMA's National Fire Academy in 2014 and 2015 respectively. In 2016, they obtained Fire Service Financial Management certification from FEMA's National Fire Academy.
