Franklin Okafor

Franklin Okafor is a Multimedia Journalist at Southern Miss Student Media, where Franklin produces high-quality, research-backed opinion articles that promote critical thinking within the Southern Miss Community. As a Content Creator on YouTube, Franklin shares motivational insights while actively volunteering with Lagos Food Bank and participating as an EducationUSA Scholar. Franklin's academic journey includes positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Henry Wheeler Brain Imaging Center at UC Berkeley, focusing on neural circuits and decision-making, and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Southern Miss Center for Cellular and Molecular Biosciences, where Franklin conducts experiments in molecular and cell biology. Franklin's diverse experiences are supported by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
