Senior Stop-motion Animator at LAIKA

Dan MacKenzie is an accomplished Senior Stop-Motion Animator at LAIKA Studios since May 2019, with prior experience as a Supervising Animator at Starburns Industries, where recognition included an Emmy for "Individual Achievement in Animation" for work on COSMOS: Possible Worlds. MacKenzie's noteworthy contributions at Bix Pix Entertainment on the Emmy-winning series TUMBLE LEAF include roles as both a Supervising Animator and Animator. Additional highlights of MacKenzie's career include directing the stop-motion series "Star Wars: Go Rogue" for Disney, leading animation for Charlie Kaufman's ANOMALISA, and animating on renowned films such as "The Boxtrolls" and "KUBO and the Two Strings." Education includes a BFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art and Design, completed in 2011.
