Derrick Huang

Derrick Huang has extensive experience in the animation and production industry. From 2016 to the present, they have worked at LAIKA Studios as the Head of Character Production, overseeing a team of production professionals who design, build, and maintain characters using 3D printing technology. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, they served as the Executive Producer at Bent Image Lab, where they had operational control of production activities for various projects. From 2008 to 2015, they were the Head of Production at Nathan Love, leading the production team and managing multiple projects for clients such as Nickelodeon and NBC Olympics. Derrick also has experience in film production, as an Associate Producer for the feature film "Almost Perfect" at Slew Pictures from 2009 to 2010. Before that, they worked as an Associate Marketing Manager at Entertainment Weekly from 2006 to 2008, where they played a key role in audience development initiatives.

Derrick Huang attended New York University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance and Marketing.
