Amir Hamad

Amir Hamad is a seasoned civil and structural engineer with extensive experience in design management and structural engineering. Currently serving as a Design Manager at Laing O'Rourke since September 2024, Amir oversees the coordination of design consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure integrated designs that meet client and project specifications. Previously, Amir held roles as Lead Structural Engineer and Senior Structural Engineer at HDP (Overseas) Ltd., specializing in the analysis and design of building structures according to American and British Standards. Amir's background also includes a tenure at KARPLEN Consultants as a Senior Structural Engineer, focusing on comprehensive structural element analysis and design using advanced software tools such as STAAD and ETABS. Amir began a career at Murtad Mazz as a Structural Engineer, contributing to conceptual design and coordination efforts. Educationally, Amir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Structural Engineering from Sudan University of Science and Technology.
